Spring Renewal
Explore the fresh colors of spring as we celebrate Mom and Mother Nature during “Spring Renewal” at the Outstanding In Its Field Gallery, May 3-25, 2025. The gallery offers works from six artists in a wide range of price points. Media includes jewelry, pastels, baskets, monoprints, etched glass, leatherwork, and sculpture. The Gallery is located at 10524 S.W. 188th St, just west of Sawbones, and will be open Saturdays – Sundays, from 10 am – 5 pm, May 3-11, and then Noon to 5 pm, May 17-18 & 24-25, or weekdays by appointment by calling 206.419.0199. The Gallery is Stop #33 on the Vashon Island Spring Studio Tour.
Spring Renewal presents light-filled pastels from Janeen Bramwell; whimsical jewelry fashioned by new Vashon artist, Julia Gombert; basket-weaving by Barbara Dusty Gustafson, nature-inspired linocut and monotype prints by Lynn McClain, rich leather work by John Dally, and bas relief bronze sculpture and etched glass by White Hart Art. John Dally will custom fit belts on-site during the afternoons of the Spring Tour.
During the show, the gallery will offer fresh Bake Sale Bites of coconut macaroons, pecan pie squares, and holiday cookies, benefitting Vashon Island Pet Protectors and hot spiced cider.
Outstanding In Its Field Gallery is open May – October each year with monthly themed exhibits featuring Vashon Island Artists almost exclusively. The gallery will also be open for the VIVA Art Studio Tours in May and December.
