Looking for the perfect unique gift for the art lover in your life? Look no further than the Outstanding In Its Field Gallery. As the name implies, we’re located in a pasture, which is nestled in the heart of lovely Vashon Island, Washington, not far from the town center.
We are the procrastination station…offering a wide variety of artful options, from original linocuts and sculptures to lovely porcelain jewelry and glass sea creatures. We will be open December Saturday and Sunday, December 17th-18th, as well as Christmas Eve! Our hours are 10am – 4 pm each day. We will also open the gallery by appointment, call 206-419-0199.
The show features works from six Vashon Island artists, two of which are new to the island. Well, actually only one of them is totally new to Vashon. Sophie Ackerman moved here at the end of the summer. Almost new is Barbara Benedetti Newton. She moved back to Vashon after a 30-year absence.
Featured artists:
Barbara Benedetti Newton – pastels
Lynn McClain – Linocut prints
Sophie Ackerman – ceramics
Glass On Vashon (Dr. Chad Widmer) – glasswork
Lindsay Hart/Jeff White – Bronze sculpture and etched glass
Our address is: 10524 S.W. 188th St, Vashon, WA 98070. We’re just west of Sawbones.
